Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American actress, singer. She was best known for her role as one of the first "Mouseketeers" from the "Mickey Mouse Club.' When she was a teenager she began her singing career. Her popularity grew due to songs such as 'Tall Paul' and "Pineapple Princess.. Annette was born in Utica to Italian parents. As a child she had a lot of shyness. Annette hoped to make the profession of entertainer. She began to dance as well as acting. The mid-1950s saw her was featured in a number of Disney sketches as part of one the "Mouseketeers" and gained significant popularity. Annette was able to let go of her 'Disney" persona she cultivated as a young person and embark many different adult characters. Her most famous role is being among the very first actors to introduce the genre "beach events". She appeared on films including "How to Stuff a Unruly Bikini.' Pajama Party. The Beach Party,and Beach Party. Annette continued to record occasionally. Annette passed away in 2013 following having been diagnosed in 1992 with multiple sclerosis.
